Oh my, my, my....

Okay, I am thrilled that my daughter LOVES the water and is signed up for another round of swim lessons. Here is the problem.....me in a swimsuit all summer. I just hate shopping for these darn things. I always go on the worst days too..... on the days I have permanent sock indentations around my ankles. I am holding out hope that the full body swim suits will become the new rage. Would I look strange as the only mother at the pool in a black wet suite....I like the way it pulls me in...kind of like spanks . I tried shopping today and gave up. Next time I WILL have a "good hair" day, put some lipstick on....possibly a "big PINK flower in my hair" ....oh yeah not eat a cookie before going.

It's official........

I am now one of those Moms that says how fast time is going........yikes....it seems like yesterday we met this adorable little guy and today we celebrated his 2nd birthday!! Sarah has her eyes on some snacks off in the distance......

One of our favorite things!!

The Carlsbad Ranch Flower Fields is such a wonderful place to visit if you come to San Diego between March and May. It is 50 acres of bright Giant Tecolote Ranunculus flowers.....whew what a mouth full. Let's just say big beautiful vibrant flowers. We hope to go back on a sunny day but even if the weather is overcast the flowers a stunning.

Where have we been hiding?

We just got back from a fun week of visiting family and friends. It was so great to see what neat kids my cousins and friends are raising. Distance has made regular visits hard but getting a chance to spend time with them this past week was long over due and wonderful.

On the flight home I got to sit next to, 80's Hotty, Rick Springfield.......he still looks good and had the patients to put up with Sarah talking for the entire hour. The only thing I could think to mention to him is that he looked good on Oprah a month ago....."oh brother". By the end of the flight I was thrilled to have Hanna Montana stickers all over my face and have Sarah scream
"Mommy....stickers...."

Fruit Basket

No Easter Bonnet...Easter Boots!!

Oh what a fun morning....the Easter bunny made an appearance last night and left some goodies....we had a egg hunt and brunch with some neighbors. Sarah insisted on wearing the EASTER BOOTS....I chose my battle this morning. She was actually pretty smart because we still had a little dew on the ground. Hope you all had a wonderful day.

Getting Hitched!!

It happened!! My Mom got married this weekend! Lots of family and old friends came to share in my Mom and Dicks big day. Sarah (almost 2) and Nate (almost 3)made for some funny moments. I think they will be on the next generation of "Dancing with the Stars". It has been 13 years since my Dad passed away and I am sure he is at peace knowing that my Mom is with a man that really loves her and makes her happy.
I love and wish them the very best.......

My Mom flew over for a few days to see Sarah and help me out......give me a little time to get some things done....Thanks Mom!!

It is so wonderful to watch Sarah and her excitement to see my Mom. She couldn't get enough of her and was so sad to see her go. Relationships with Grandparents (or Grandparent types) are so important. I was blessed to have all 4 of mine into my adulthood and I am so happy I got to know them as people. "It is important to stay curious" is what I learned from my Grandpa Tom....and I get teary just thinking about what a zest for life he had because he always wanted to know how things worked...how the mind worked, the body and at the time the VCR....oooo how I miss them and was blessed to really know them.

What a joyous morning!! Sarah enjoys playing with her friends so much on Mondays. I look at this picture and I can hear the Beach Boys ...."California Girl" in my head. It is such a wonderful way to start the week.....sunshine, good friends and playing in the park!! Hope you all have a great week too ....thanks for popping in.

Princess with out a party.......

Today was one of those days.........we (8 Mom owned businesses)have a Trunk Show/Boutique once a month at a local coffee shop (Java Mama) and some Saturdays are better than others. We had no customers today so I felt a little like this princess all dressed up and no party to attend. Oh well......I got to chat with my friends .....drink lots of coffee and plan for next month.
