Yesterday afternoon I was able to turn over "the daddy" hat I have been wearing for 6 months while Mr. P has been in the middle east. Sarah was beside herself with excitement to finally have her daddy home. She would not let go of his neck and kept chattering until she couldn't keep her eyes open. She is so thrilled that he brought her so many fun dress up hats. (I see community theater in her future). We are very proud of Mr. P ....it takes awhile after being gone to get back to "normal" life but we are on our way. I am now wondering what hat I am going to wear at the spa I check into SOON!!......? Hmmmmmm

YEAH!!! Welcome home!! Making a girl cry on a Wednesday afternoon, the pictures are too precious!!
So happy for your family! Get out there child free girl!
Great pictures! They both look beyond thrilled!
Oh Dana,
I have tears in my eyes, I have a picture so similar of me and my daddy at NAS Mirimar (8t used to be a Naval base) when he flew home from Vietnam. There was a welcome home party for him on the runway. I was so happy to see him, I must have been about seven years old. I will never forget that moment.
Love, love, love!
Xoxo Deb
Boy, those made me cry! I am SO happy for you to have him home. I know it is hard to do the single mom gig. You did such an amazing job while he was away, you deserve a spa day and a huge margarita...everyday for a week! Enjoy.xo
Now, why did you have to go and make me cry?!! That pic of her running to her Dad was too much for this old gal. Love the hats..love you both. Enjoy your spa visit. :)
Love it! So happy he is home with you guys-finally! You are an amazing woman to wear two(or more) hats for so long!
Welcome home Paul!!!! I just LOVE that last picture, totally makes me smile too :)

Those smiles are absolutely amazing! Did you have the exact same smile on your face while you were taking a much deserved break at the spa? Thank you to Mr. P and his beautiful girls!

So Glad your hubby is home safe and sound!!!
Joy~
Such a sweet and wonderful post (very creative with the many hats, I must say). And even better, heart-breaking (in a good way) photos. I am so happy to know your family is all back together. I hope the transition has been smooth and sweet.
