Brrrrrr....what a fun Christmas!

I think this was our first visit to Arizona in a long time that we said "Brrrrr". We spent half our visit at my sister and brother-in-laws's cabin in "Happy Jack"...outside of Payson. Sarah got to see and play in her first snow. We had a wonderful Christmas. It was so nice to be with family and the cabin setting was perfect for Santa to land his sleigh. Sarah loves playing with her cousin Nate (2 1/2) and Uncle Matt but she couldn't get enough of "Geema and Auntie NeeNee". The kids did a good job of sharing their toys, only once did Nate ask me if Sarah could go back to bed.......and on the last day after sharing his house, toys and attention Nate confessed to his mom that "Sarah can be annoying...." it was too funny. Today we had breakfast with Santa ( and some good friends too). Sarah was having a great time until the "big guy" arrived.......she was NOT happy. Oh well...we will try the Easter Bunny....It was a beautiful day in Coronado.....love living here

We are so lucky!!

We had a wonderful morning playing on the beach. This was one of our first beach days that Sarah was not putting handfuls of sand in her mouth. I feel so blessed to have this time with her........She is also feeling very spiritual today!!

It's official

We are excited for Christmas!!!! Sarah is much more aware of her surroundings this year....this is our Christmas kick off post!! Notice Elmo made the beach trip today...at least it's "mini elmo" that travels with us.

Please tell me this phase goes away....Sarahs new name is "NO!"........I have always posted the lovely, charming , cute Sarah...well this little "NO MONSTER" comes out once in the while.....she also needs a "Noggin Topper."

What is it with this guy ELMO?

We don't eat dinner anymore with out this little red guy sitting at the table. I talk with girlfriends and their kids are the same way...."E...L...M...O"! I am not upset about elmo being front and center in our lives but I am fascinated with the love that children have for him...........Remember Gwyn? Paul wearing an Elmo hat at your birthday?

Monkey Business

Yesterday I had the opportunity to meet 2 little cuties at the craft fair where I had a display. They were such good models of the headbands they purchased I couldn't help posting their pictures....... here you go girls...thanks for being such polite , funny little girls.

Tutumonkey is taking off....lots of craft shows before Christmas so "Mama Monkey" is busy sewing tutu's ...here is one of my latest:)

Trick or Treat

We had 2 Halloween parties this year...one with our Moms group and one with our cousin Nate! I couldn't pass up posting a picture of Sarah's friend Mya....is she cute or what....Sarah loved the greeting part of Halloween.......she has the Bye Bye Kiss" down.....

Music and PASSION

After being held up in the house all week due to poor air quality....we ventured out to a play group this week. Here is Sarah playing piano with her little friends. I think the music was too much...........they must have been playing love songs.........we will see how cute all this kissin is in a few years. YIKES!

FIRE!!!!!

San Diego is on Fire!! We are fine but man the air quality is not good. Itchy eyes, sore throats and head aches from all the smoke. We are headed to Mom and Renee's house to let it clear. The picture above is this evening...Sad...Sad...Sad.....but the winds have died down so hopefully tomorrow is better.

We had a wonderful day. Sarah was a little startled when the goat didn't eat like Elmo. Elmo is very quite when he gets waffles shoveled down his mouth in the mornings........oh well......we will make a farm girl out of her yet.

Lazy Sunday

Aren't lazy Sundays the best? We have been enjoying the wonderful San Diego Autumn, which strangely resembles Winter , Spring and part of Summer....Football and Halloween decorations makes it feel like a change in season. Sarah is perching herself on this park bench waiting for doggies to go by. She is such a joy!! Hope you all had a wonderful , lazy, Sunday also.

I hear "Gone with the Wind" music everytime I look at this picture......beautiful , firey, Arizona sunset. We had a great weekend helping my Mom move and watching "the cousins" play. Sarah and Nate are really getting to be good buddies.

Not another TUTU Mommy.

My TUTU model wants a new contract.....she is willing to try on 2 tutu's within a half and hour period as long as we can play a long game of chase in between outfit changes. She is charging extra to have "Noggin Topper" and tutu on at the same time ....... her smiles are generally free but not consistent.

I participated in my second craft fair....not really a huge fair but "craft swap"...it was fun . I got to talk with some mom friends, that are very "crafty", and sell some of my "crafty" stuff at the same time. We are doing it the first Saturday of the month until January at http://www.javamama.com/. It also gives Paul a chance to bond with Sarah for 5 hours ....and give me a break. Bye for now!....Don't think that "Pringles Project " isn't on my list of things to do.....

"OUCH...Larry had nothing to do with it"!

Yesterday was full of "OUCH". This is a picture of the corner that jumped up and smacked Sarah in the face. She was devastated , confused and ANRGY...who wouldn't be...running at full speed, to have a corner jump out and hit you.....that "bad corner". Later in the afternoon we decided after our "OUCH" morning to go to a "Moms and Tot's" support group meeting ....which I may suggest, next time, we add Margaritas and have the husbands pick us up. We were in the room 5 minutes and Sarah smacked her face AGAIN with a mini M & M tube.....I don't know were it came from but I know I didn't enjoy any of the chocolate through this "OUCH". The finale of the play group was a Sarah smashing her fingers in the piano with the help of a terrified little boy......he thought he killed her. Well , we made it through the day and the green marks on Sarah's sweet little face are almost gone....we have had enough "OUCH" for a while.

Kissin Cousins

Great music, fun playground and lots of doggies......the excitement was too much...they had to kiss. This is the stage that it's still really cute to kiss your cousin......we aren't worried yet. The men ( Paul and Matt) spent the weekend fishing in Minnesota.....the gals (Renee, Mom and Me) hung out with the "lovebirds". We had a wonderful weekend in Coronado with the kids but next year we are "fishing" and they get the young-ins for the weekend. I'm pooped...off to bed.

Larry who?

Ouch!

This gorilla, Larry, may look nice and sweet but let me tell you he is ferocious. He measures in size 3" long 1 1/2" wide and he can put you down. Just when I think Larry is back in is cage he finds his way back to the ball of my foot.....the soft , tender part....you know. I have a feeling he has an accomplice....she stands about 31" and weighs 21 pounds. If I catch her in the act....Larry is going to become a car gorilla. Watch out Larry!

No Pringle project update.....Sarah has been sick and I got caught up in TUTU's again! I hope to have my craft table cleared off this evening.... some families use their craft tables to eat meals off of...weird huh?Bye for now!

Baby Loves Disco,Mom and Dad need a BEER!

Wow!!........ what a stimulating afternoon at Baby Loves Disco!! All the dancing we do, in the kitchen, to get ready for big dance floor moments and instead Sarah was obsessed with holding helium balloons and go up and down stairs. She got a bit of her groove on towards the end of the event .....but.....I think we will wait a few months/years before we go again. It is a fun concept and I think the parents enjoyed reliving old prom memories but I think we will continue of kitchen discos for awhile.

Peaceful Sunday

Not much happening today.........felt the need to have an August post even though not much new. I finished another tutu last night watching "Blood Diamond..." It was not a tutu inspiring movie........need to watch Little Miss Sunshine or Muriel's Wedding again to get back in my tutu mood.


We are heading to Baby Loves Disco this afternoon. Looking forward to Sarah showing off her moves.....dancing to Abba's Dancing Queen in the kitchen will hopefully pay off....I will let you know.

Another TUTU Monkey

Here is another sweet little tutu monkey...... It brings to question ...when and why did we STOP wearing tutu's to celebrate our birthdays? They cover up many problem areas.....that "Mommy Tummy, Mom Butt..." That's it , I'm bringing back the tutu next year...after a few margaritas of course. Still no "Pringles Project" update. I suffer from CADD Crafting Attention Deficit Disorder...soon though...keep checking.

I just want to nibble it!!

I just want to nibble Sarah's toes(after they are clean ..of course) ......I just love her little feet.


Not much happening today just the two of us hanging out making tutu's and noggin toppers. In my mind I am cleaning the house and making a wonderful gourmet dinner too. Not happening today. Grilled hamburgers it is!! One of these days my "inner Martha" will come out and I will be able to get everything done at once.

Wow...my first post

Here I am ,almost midnight, typing my first blog post. Kind of strange since I go to so many other peoples sites to be writing my own. I guess I will become more interesting as time goes by ...hmmmm..not sure how that is going to happen but I have faith that fantastic adventures are ahead. Thanks for stopping by!!
