the little things

Finding joy/happiness in the little things ...EVERY DAY. The Happiness Hour 2 weeks ago was all about finding and embracing your "little things".

So, today my little things were

1. reading a magazine on the deck in the sun

2. writing with a brand new sharpie pen

3. Sarah drawing a picture of me and saying "it is you Mama....you are so beautiful"
(Those are my knees not my boobs.....what I would look like in THIS shirt)

What are your little things today........?
Happy Friday!!

I can't decide what is better your red hair, your knees (yeah right) or your different colored eyes. I love it!! What a sweet girl. I love the idea of the little things......

Really??

I think she was going for a mermaid version of you!

I need to do this more often.

Dana The two of you must be having a ball. Know that you are missing Paul, but the humor will help the time go by, I am sure.
Love you Mom and Grandma Faith

Hello Dear Dana,
You are so right.... to be really happy we have to be able to find joy in little things.
One of my "happy things" is thinking of you and Sarah and the blessing it was to get to meet you both and spend the afternoon with you. Every time I look at the pictures we took with you my heart smiles.
Have a great day... I hope you have many happy little things to enjoy. Hugs, GRammy L

Those are some nice coconuts---err, I mean knees. What a fabulous picture, she's becoming quite the artist!

And I love the idea of focusing on the little things that float our boats on any given day. Reading your blog is one of my little things---seriously. Thank you! :)

Dana, one of my little things was being able to see you yesterday! Let's schedule a get together at least every other week until Paul returns. It's so much fun, and gives us something to look forward to. Keep your chin up, sweetie, and remember to take one day at a time.
xx, Val
